    Lauterbrunnen Valley from Wengen.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley contains some of the most breathtaking views of Switzerland and the pretty villages of Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Mürren, Gimmelwald, Stechelberg, and Isenfluh. The Jungfrau summit, one of the main summits of the Bernese Alps, dominates the views.

It can be seen and accessed from the town of Zermatt.

    3. Interlaken

    Town of Interlaken.

Interlaken is the gateway to many mountains and lakes, including the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The town itself isn't much to write home about, but it is popular base with backpackers, and has a wide range of outdoor activities nearby, such as skiing, sledging, ice-skating, paragliding, hang gliding, bungee jumping, canyoning, sailing, river rafting and rock climbing.
