Medellín blends urban transformation, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Set in the lush Aburrá Valley and surrounded by the green slopes of the Andes, is one of Colombia’s most captivating cities. Known as the “City of Eternal Spring” for its mild year-round climate, Medellín has reinvented itself from a turbulent past into a vibrant, innovative, and welcoming destination. The climb to the top is challenging but completely worth it, the view of shimmering lakes and lush hills spread out beneath you is unforgettable. The lunch gave me a real taste of Colombian flavours, and the boat ride was the perfect way to relax and see the reservoir from another angle.
Coffee Farm and Horse Riding

I never knew coffee could taste this fresh, you just have to visit a coffee farm when in Colombia. Riding through the hills after the tasting was a peaceful and beautiful way to spend the afternoon.
Comuna 13
Tour Type: Half-day walking tour (approx. 3 hours)

Walking through Comuna 13 with my guide felt like stepping into a living story. Every mural had meaning, and the local snacks, especially the mango ice cream with salt and lemon were amazing. Although the main area felt completely safe, I would still recommend doing it on a tour, as it is very easy to get lost in the labyrinths that aren’t on Google Maps.

Why Go: A thrilling outdoor experience that lets you feel the energy of Medellín’s surrounding landscapes, with the added bonus of a delicious local meal and a refreshing waterfall stop.
The trail was scenic and thrilling. Guarne’s rolling hills and greenery made the ride feel like a journey through a postcard. The trout farm lunch, with rainbow trout, coconut rice, and fried plantain, was the perfect end to an adrenaline-filled morning.
